Notting Hill Housing, in partnership with Hammersmith and Fulham Council and the Metropolitan Police, have successfully closed seven crack houses in the borough.
As part of their drive to reduce anti social behaviour, Notting Hill’s housing management team had regular meetings with the police, leading to the seven closures.
The team are continuing to work with the police to close a further two crack houses in Hammersmith and Fulham area. Chief Superintendent John Sunderland praised Notting Hill Housing for the hard work, effectiveness and professionalism of its approach.
Tony Murphy, Chief Inspector of the Metropolitan Police Intelligence Unit, also invited Notting Hill Housing to attend his training session on Crime and Disorder Intelligence Partnership Sharing.
This is a new scheme that allows the police, registered social landlords and councils to share information by secure email and collate evidence against perpetrators, hopefully speeding up the whole process and reducing the impact properties supplying drugs can have on communities.
