Neighbours driven off their trolley

Riverside Housing tenants and local residents of Runcorn’s Hallwood Park are pushing a clean-up campaign to combat the problem of abandoned shopping trolleys.

Families came together for a clean-sweep of Hallwood Park that included collecting shopping trolleys from the streets to return to local supermarkets.

During the Impact Day, locals not only collected the trolleys but also painted shelters to remove graffiti and picked up litter.
The day of action was organised by Halton Neighbourhood Management Partnership.  Their aim is to help communities and service providers work together to improve neighbourhoods at a local level.
