Aspire Housing invited local children to plant trees last week to celebrate National Tree Week
We invited local children to plant trees last week to celebrate National Tree Week.
The children were invited from St Luke’s and Silverdale Primary Schools to plant 240 beech trees in the open space behind Pepper Street in Silverdale.
Chris Waterfall from Aspire Housing said: “National Tree Week is held annually to encourage people to celebrate the start of the planting season. We are thrilled that children from local primary schools took time out to help us and they will see the plants grow and flourish in the future. We recognise the great contribution that trees make to the aesthetics of our neighbourhoods”.
