Global climate change and rising energy costs are important to our customers. More and more, they want their homes to be sustainable. That’s why South Yorkshire Housing Association is committed to improving the environmental performance of its homes.

Henley Rise is a groundbreaking eco-friendly development that will use state of the art renewable energy technologies. These include solar thermal collectors to provide hot water, wind turbines and super-insulated construction. So as well reducing their carbon footprint, residents will benefit from significant savings on their energy bills.

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council are doing their bit by donating the land. We will also work closely with the Transform South Yorkshire Pathfinder Team and the Energy Savings Trust.

The scheme has a contemporary design aesthetic using locally sourced natural materials wherever possible. The street areas have been carefully designed to ensure that cars do not dominate the neighbourhood.
